Thanks to Vicky Cave for the photos below of children’s play in a small remote rural village in The Gambia. “This was part of a long process of developing a playground when there had been no playground before, we built some concrete tunnels and mounds from sand. These photos show how children made their own dens and secret spaces using the materials they found around them. More info here“
